History, Heritage and Citizenship Educators across Europe and beyond are invited to apply to participate in the 22nd EUROCLIO Annual Conference Professional Development and Training Course namely “Roads to Democracy. How can History Education pave the Way?” between 20-25 April 2015. The conference will take place in Elsinore (Denmark), European city standing on ages of global history for which history and heritage became concrete drive for development. The conference will focus on roles and conducting of Democracy in History Education. As seen in the history of civic engagement through education in Denmark, as well as the turbulent recent developments in Europe and its immediate neighbourhood, education, notably history education is a crucial element here, not just for Democracy as a final stage, but as a process of emancipation and progress.

This conference is a great opportunity to meet your peer colleagues, broaden your knowledge on the conference theme, learn and share experiences. The conference can be funded using your Erasmus+ Grant and would be invaluable in terms of educator development and opportunities for networking and partnership making. We are calling you all to REGISTER now to secure your participation.
